Data Import

I've now completed the data import feature. For those of you still testing the system, goto "Setup", "Data Import" and follow the instructions.

Previously you had to contact me directly to manually import your swimmers for you, now you can do it yourself!

There are a couple of "rules" on what you can and can not do when importing data:

1. The import file must be a CSV file (comma seperated values)
2. It must have the correct headings on the 1st row
3. There are data checks to check if the data format is correct. If any errors occur, or the data checks fail, that row of the CSV file will be skipped.

At the moment, you can only import the following swimmer's details:

• Name
• Gender
• DOB
• Address
• Postcode
• Date Joined

Once imported, you can then manually assign them to finance groups, teaching groups etc.

Note: Only Administrators can import data, not your coaches etc (unles you make them admins that is!)

Selecting Gala Swimmers

Previously, when you ran a best swim times report and clicked the green arrow to choose that swimmer for a gala, you could not then choose the same swimmer for another gala.

This has now been changed. Simply click the arrow (now red) again and the choose gala form will appear again.
