Mobile app update – version 5.3.7

We have submitted version 5.3.7 of the SwimClub Manager mobile app to both the Apple App Store and Google Play. Both versions are now waiting for review.

More reliable event-confirmation links

This update fixes a problem affecting event-confirmation links in emails. On some phones, opening one of these links inside the app could display an incorrect “There was a problem with the link” message or leave the user on a page with no obvious way back.

In version 5.3.7, event-confirmation links will open in your phone’s normal browser—Safari on iPhone or your default browser on Android. This applies whether you tap a link in an external email app, such as Gmail, or from the email screen inside SwimClub Manager.

Opening the confirmation page separately prevents the app’s logged-in session from interfering with the link. It also gives you the usual browser controls, making it straightforward to return to the app afterwards.

Other improvements

The update also includes improvements to general link handling and notification permissions.

When will version 5.3.7 be available?

The new versions will become available once Apple and Google have completed their reviews. Review times are outside our control, but we will confirm in the community when the update has been approved and released.
